We hope you have all been keeping safe and well during these uncertain times and that you have been able to continue making music in whatever form available. We are approaching what would have been another week of packed musical delights amid the beautiful Yorkshire surroundings at Bishop Burton College, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of HISS. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we have unfortunately had to halt the celebrations and live music-making for the time being. While we cannot meet in person, our team have used this time to create a virtual alternative for you to enjoy. Featuring pre-recorded performances, live Q&A interview sessions and a live folk workshop, these events are all free to access and will occur throughout the original HISS week of 17-21 August 2020. For live events you will need to book a place via Eventbrite (links to these will appear here shortly) and other resources will be uploaded to this website each day. If you were originally hoping to offer a Shortie and would be interested in preparing something for online consumption, we would still like to make this happen. Please get in touch with us by Friday 14th if you would be interested in this. If you have any questions you would like to be answered in the Q&A sessions, please email us by Monday 10th August. Sessions will cover a variety of topics that are on offer at HISS and we will aim to answer all questions sent to us. More information, including links to the live events, will be released closer to the week. Best wishes, Graham Director Catherine & Ellie Administrators |
